ask me questions! ⟡ a Q&A to celebrate 2 years of blogging

Hello and welcome! I think the title of this posts pretty much sums it up… I’ve been blogging for (almost) 2 years, so to celebrate, I’m asking you all to ask me questions!

I’ve never done a Q&A before, mainly because I find them to be overdone (generally) among bloggers I follow, and it gets repetitive if people keep asking the same questions. But since I’ve never done one before, there’s no way for it to be overdone or repetitive, eh? 😉

I’d love questions about literally anything (though, you know, I’m not going to give out personal info). So throw all your burning questions at me — the things you’ve wanted to know for the past couple of years but never dared to ask! (Mundane things are fine too. My favorite color is probably blue, if you were wondering. Or rose gold.)

You can also, if you wish, make assumptions about me. (I think that’s kind of the same thing as a questionnaire, only it’s framed differently. So… do either/both!)

Type out all your questions/assumptions/random thoughts in the comments, and I’ll answer ’em all in another post soon.

Tally ho!

the stories are true,

~ m a y a ~

P.S. I’m going to be gone on vacation next week, so even though my “official” blogging anniversary is April 22, the actual post will be later. (If you want a good laugh, search through my archives and find the post from April 22, 2019. It’s… something.)

  1. Congrats on your blogoversary!

Okay. Questions. (I’m not always good at asking interesting ones. But I’ll give it my best shot!)
-What is your writing process? Are you a pantser? A plotter? A plantser?
-Do you tend to read in big chunks of time, or little chunks throughout the day?
-Are you a morning person, or a night owl?
-Are you a mood reader, or…I’m not entirely sure what the other option is…not a mood reader? (As a follow-up…if you’re a mood reader, do you ever feel stifled by your TBR?)
    -What is your favorite season?
-What’s your favorite weird food combo?

  2. Congratulations on the anniversary! Ooh, goody. Let me see if I can think of something I really want to know…
    1. Which of your WIPs do you think would make the best debut novel (it doesn’t have to be the one you’re closest to finishing)?
    2. How many thousands of words have you written? (Estimate, of course, ha.)
    3. Which of your own characters do you like best, as far as the feel/aesthetic goes?
    4. What are some songs that you feel describe your personality?
    5. How would you describe your own brand/aesthetic in terms of a scene?
(If that makes sense, lol. I spent so much time thinking about the questions in the survey last week I’m now curious as to your own answers. 🙂
Also, by a scene, I mean…*struggles for an explanation* well, here let me show you, here’s what I think of: Maya’s aesthetic is like being in an old castle library reading by candlelight; the window is open, and it’s a cool spring night outside. And you can hear the frogs creaking and smell the jasmine in the dark, and there’s a stream singing in the grove near the castle. And the moonlight’s casting a silver river on the floor by your desk. :D)

    – what style of fanart would you love to be skilled in? (I guess meaning, what style of art do you like/subject matter for fanart? What fanart do/would you make?)
    – what draws you to a piece of art? (whether that be visual, literary, poetical, etc.)
